Crane Aerospace & Electronics to Provide Lube and Scavenge Pumps for Pratt & Whitney PurePower® Engines
Crane Co. has announced the appointment of Brendan Curran as President of the Aerospace Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. Crane Aerospace & Electronics is one of four segments of Crane Co., a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products with $2.6 billion in sales. As president of the Aerospace Group, Curran will be located in Lynnwood, Washington and will be responsible for Aerospace Group site operations and product solutions, including fluid management, landing gear systems, cabin systems, and sensing components and systems.
Crane to provide Brake Control and Landing Gear Control Systems for Embraer’s Second Generation E-Jets
Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Embraer S.A. to supply both the Brake Control and Landing Gear Control Systems for Embraer’s future, second-generation of E-Jets. The new aircraft is scheduled to enter service in 2018.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd to provide the brake control system for the new PC-24 twin-engine business jet. The PC-24 is Pilatus’s first twin-engine business aircraft and their first-ever jet powered aircraft. It will seat up to ten passengers, be powered by Williams FJ44 engines and feature a cargo door similar to Pilatus’ PC-12 aircraft.
Crane has been selected by Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Navy to provide Crane’s brake control system with antiskid functionality for the C-2A Greyhound cargo aircraft. Crane’s Brake Control System will be part of the C-2A Greyhound Improved Braking System Program.
Aérazur – Air Cruiser, Zodiac Aerospace has awarded a Long Term Contract to Crane Aerospace & Electronics for the design, development and manufacture of Water Immersion Sensors. Crane’s sensors will support the Emergency Flotation System for the Bell 525 ‘Relentless’ helicopter.
Crane congratulates the Work Opportunities organization on 50 years of service. Work Opportunities was established in 1963 in the basement of a Shaky’s Pizza Parlor. Starting with seven clients and two staff members, the organization has grown to serve almost 500 clients with 70 staff members throughout Snohomish and Whatcom counties.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a Crane Co. segment, announces that they have signed an Authorized Repair Facility Agreement with ST Aerospace Systems PTE Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, ST Aerospace will serve as an authorized repair facility in Singapore for a variety of Crane products for use on commercial aircraft. These include fuel pumps, proximity sensors, transformer rectifiers, battery chargers, brake control systems, wheel speed transducers and control valves.
