Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR), has been selected by Airbus Military to deliver proximity sensors for the A320neo, fitted with CFM LEAP-1A engines. Airbus Military is delivering the Fan Cowl through Aircelle, a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus. Crane’s proximity sensors will provide indications that the engine fan cowls are properly secured.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is proud to announce that over 1,000 A320 aircraft are now equipped with their Enhanced Landing Gear Control Interface Unit (LGCIU). Two units are installed on each A320 series aircraft. Between the units installed on new aircraft and those sold to airlines for retrofit, Crane has shipped over 2,000 units since the introduction of its Enhanced LGCIU as the production standard in October 2010.
