Happy 50th Anniversary to Work Opportunities

Crane congratulates the Work Opportunities organization on 50 years of service. Work Opportunities was established in 1963 in the basement of a Shaky’s Pizza Parlor. Starting with seven clients and two staff members, the organization has grown to serve almost 500 clients with 70 staff members throughout Snohomish and Whatcom counties.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics Appoints ST Aerospace as an Authorized Repair Facility

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a Crane Co. segment, announces that they have signed an Authorized Repair Facility Agreement with ST Aerospace Systems PTE Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, ST Aerospace will serve as an authorized repair facility in Singapore for a variety of Crane products for use on commercial aircraft. These include fuel pumps, proximity sensors, transformer rectifiers, battery chargers, brake control systems, wheel speed transducers and control valves.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics Lynnwood, Wash. site received Employer of the Year honors from Community Transit on April 16, 2013. The award was presented to Crane because its dedication to the Curb the Congestion program.
Curb the Congestion is a partnership between Community Transit and Snohomish County to reduce traffic and encourage healthy travel options on congested roadways.

(NYSE:CR), was recently presented with a Supplier Excellence award from B/E Aerospace, a leading provider of aircraft interior products and solutions. The award was presented to Crane’s Cabin Systems Solution leaders at B/E Aerospace’s Winston-Salem facility in February. Crane was recognized with this award for superior performance in on-time delivery and quality, as well as participating in initiatives to improve overall value in B/E’s supply chain.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics hosted a meeting and facility tour with Rep. Jim Jordan and members of his staff at Crane’s Elyria, Ohio site on February 21. The Elyria site was re-districted into Ohio’s 4th congressional district beginning in January 2013. Jordan was interested in learning more about Crane’s involvement in the community, opportunities and needs in the aerospace and defense industry, as well as our views on sequestration, ITAR regulations and skilled labor availability.
