A team from the Beverly location did their annual trek to the Crane Estate on Friday, May 18 to help with various projects at the Estate. Teams rebuilt a 30-foot section of boardwalk at the beach, built a kayak station and painted safety lines on the boardwalk. For the last four years, employees at the Beverly location have volunteered at the Crane Estate and worked on a variety of projects.

Crane Co. (NYSE:CR) has announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) Tavares as President of the Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics, and David Bender as President of the Aerospace Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. Crane Aerospace & Electronics is one of five segments of Crane Co., a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products with $2.5 billion in sales. Previously, Bender was president of both the Aerospace Group and the Electronics Group.

Thanks to the Crane volunteers who came out this summer to help at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA. The Estate is the former summer home of R.T. Crane, Jr., the founder of Crane Co. and his family. It is now part historic landmark, part public beach and part wildlife refuge as well as home to SummerQuest, a wonderful summer camp for area children. Crane Co., through the Crane Fund for Widows and Children, provides financial support each year to SummerQuest.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is sending representatives to four community job fairs this week. Tuesday, September 20 is a Boeing job fair at Boeing’s Huntington Beach, California location. On Thursday, September 22, Crane representatives will be at California State University Northridge Techfest. Also on Thursday, September 22 is the Clarkson University job fair in Potsdam, New York. The Washington Aerospace Job Opportunity and Career Expo will be held at the Lynnwood Convention Center Friday, September 23 in Lynnwood, Washington. Crane will be one of almost 50 companies exhibiting at this event.
