Airbus Service Bulletin A320-32-1401 is now released which gives A320 operators the option to replace the legacy Landing Gear Control Interface Unit (LGCIU) with the latest Crane Enhanced LGCIU. The LGCIU’s function on the aircraft is to sense the position of landing gear and landing gear doors, flap disconnect status and cargo door position.The unit works in conjunction with passive proximity sensors that are installed in aircraft landing gear and landing gear doors, flap disconnect status and cargo door locations.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, together with Airbus, has developed an enhanced Landing Gear Control Interface Unit (LGCIU) for Airbus single-aisle aircraft (A320 Series).
